Our Programs

Ivy Academy provides part-time care for children ages three months to five years. Our programs are designed to promote each child’s emerging self-confidence, education, creativity and self-esteem. We have created a warm & welcoming environment where children are able to explore, create and grow. Ivy provides a healthy and safe space to support children, meet their milestones, encourage socialization and expand their imaginations through play.

All teachers are certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).

THE LITTLES

Our teachers are committed to supporting children’s social, emotional, physical and academic growth. We partner with you to develop an approach that is consistent with your family’s routine to ease the transition from home to school.

Infants follow individualized daily schedules. Snacks, meals, diaper changes and naps are provided according to your baby’s needs. Infants and toddlers will play freely with age-appropriate toys and books as well as crawl, climb, and move around freely with teacher interaction and supervision. We believe that young children should have the freedom to play, learn, create and grow inside the classroom as well as outside on our playground or on a nature walk.

THE TOTs

Our goal is to provide a clean, safe, fun and comfortable environment where your child can play, grow and learn. Children will be provided with the opportunity to experience different areas of the classroom during the day while also guided through art projects, science experiments and a lot of outdoor time exploring the playground.

In the Tots classroom the curriculum will be curated by the teachers in the classroom and based off the current interests of the children. Toddlers thrive with routine and predictability throughout their day. Our toddler room has a consistent yet flexible schedule with a balance of child-led and teacher-initiated activities. Teachers at Ivy will adapt materials and learning experiences to fit each toddler’s unique learning style, developmental goals, as well interests.

      THE MIDDLES

This classroom smoothly bridges the transition from our Tots classroom to our Middles classroom, supporting children as they gain confidence, independence, and essential skills. Through small group activities we focus on self-help tasks, cooperative learning, and social, emotional, and cognitive development.

With a structured daily routine, each child takes on meaningful classroom roles and participates in hands-on learning experiences such as engaging science experiments and daily art projects.

Our Young Preschool classroom is designed especially for younger preschoolers who are beginning to grow more independent and confident in a school setting. This program serves as an important steppingstone between our younger learners and the older preschool students in the Bigs class, helping children build the skills and readiness needed for that next stage.

In a caring and encouraging environment with a low student ratio, children receive plenty of individualized support as they strengthen their social, emotional, and developmental skills. Through creative play, movement, stories, sensory experiences, and interactive learning opportunities, students are encouraged to communicate, explore, make connections, and gain confidence while developing a positive foundation for future learning.

THE BIGS

Making the most of every moment to inspire and encourage learning and kindergarten readiness. In their small groups within the class, your child will build on their academic skills in a program that mirrors state curriculum standards to explore early writing, reading, science and math fundamentals with personalized support from the Ivy teachers.

Your child will experience exciting new concepts daily through engaging activities based on the current interests of the children in the classroom. They will master pre-reading skills like phonemic awareness, letter and sound recognition through creative games as well as explore science with hands-on science experiments. Here at Ivy the teachers are inspired to design nature immersive programs that will take place outside in order to spark curiosity, concentration and foster independence as young learners work together.
